Astrology

Astrology is an ancient practice that dates back to thousands of years ago. It is believed to have originated in Babylon, Mesopotamia, and Egypt. The ancient Greeks and Romans adopted astrology and it was used by many cultures such as the Chinese, Indians, and Mayans. Astrology was used to predict the future, and to influence decisions regarding marriage, business, health, and politics. In the Middle Ages, astrology was widely accepted in Europe and it was studied by many scholars and scientists. Although astrology was considered to be a science, it was still seen as a form of superstition. During the Renaissance, astrology regained popularity and it was used to interpret the stars and planets, and to make predictions. In the 19th century, astrology was popularized by writers such as Edward White, who wrote a book on the subject in 1871. By the 20th century, astrology had become a mainstream practice. Many astrologers began to write books and articles on the subject and it was featured in magazines and newspapers. In the 21st century, astrology is still widely practiced and it is often used as a form of entertainment.
